Hi, my name is Jeff Russ, also known as Mr. Magic to thousands of children all over the Kentuckiana area. I first started in magic when I was 13 years old after a cousin visited from Florida and showed me a couple of tricks. I thought that it was so cool - I just had to learn magic for myself. The magic bug had bitten me and I was hooked. All my teen years were filled with the pursuit of my next clever trick, waiting for the UPS truck to bring me my latest purchase from a far away magic shop. I spent many, many hours practicing my tricks and perfecting them. As a teenager I performed magic for anyone who would watch --especially my parents, who always supported me and my dream of being a full-time Magician someday. Many years later in 1994 after trying several different careers, including Insurance Salesmen, Carpentry Supervisor and still today a Retail Business Owner I was able to become a full-time Magician. It was slow at first doing only a couple of shows a week. Then it started to explode - doing 300 shows a year, then 400, then 500, then 600 and now doing nearly 700 shows a year. I have to say it is the greatest thing in the world to be able to do something you really, really love to do. And believe me, I love to perform and make children from 3 to 103 laugh and have fun. My shows are all especially tailored to be age appropriate and will always include lots of audience participation, slapstick comedy magic, hilarious puppetry with my sidekick PUFF and TONS AND TONS OF FUN - GUARANTEED.
